"Pros: Fabulous apartment! The host really looks after you with so much helpful information. The apartment is clean and very spacious, much more so than the pictures suggest. It's also comfortable and well thought out. We'd stay here again." ~Claire
"Pros: I would recomend this appartment for couples on a longer holiday. We stayed for 8 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the facilities. We made use of the washing machine and dishwasher, as well as the kitchen and outdoor area. I also liked that there was a variety of bedding (i.e. light duvet or lighter sheet) to choose depending on the temperature. There was also air con and a ceiling fan in each room to use depending on your preference however, the apartment was generally cool throughout our stay and we barely used the air con (outside temperatures were 28-31 degrees during our stay in early June).
The apartment was also well located. It was a short walk to Sliema whoch offered many bars and restaurants. L'Angolo cafe is a great spot for breakfast or lunch, and Jeff's Pastizzeria at the end of the street has a huge selection of fresh Maltese pastries. I'd recommend getting the bolt app for cheap taxis around the island or catching the bus for €2. The bus stop was a short walk from the appartment to the water front.
The host was easy to contact via WhatsApp and provided detailed instructions about utilities and devices before our stay. The host was trustworthy and our damage deposit was returned safely.
The photos on booking.com did not give an accurate representation of how nice the apartment actually is. I would recommend this place to a friend and consider staying here again in the future.
Cons: The bench seating was not comfortable and the outdoor bench was permanently in full sun during the day, it would have been nice to have a few chairs in the kitchen and outdoor area for relaxing and socialising.
There was not enough storage for clothes on a longer holiday. We packed light and shared one large suitcase between two people but there was not enough wardrobe space for hanging clothes and only two small drawers for other clothes storage.
Although dishwasher tabs were provided, there was no washing powder. The washing machine was essential for washing towels etc." ~Rosie
