"Pros: The view is stunning as suggested - great view of the Grand harbour. Location was good - lots of restaurants nearby along the harbour as well as a landing point for the water taxi across to Valletta. Apartment nice and spacious, kitchen well equipped.
Cons: Really important for hosts to make clear that there are lots of steps up to the apartment - could be difficult with lots of heavy luggage. Shame that the balcony wasn't big enough to sit or eat out. There is a roof terrace. We loved the location but public transport is limited. We used taxis quite a lot to get round which was not expensive for three of us" ~Richard
"Pros: The roof terrace was an added bonus, watching the fireworks prime spot, the amount of bedroom ment no need to share
Loved the canal side restaurants
Cons: Some dust pans and brushes to sweep the floors every so often
Could not find any" ~Steve
"Pros: A charming house in beautiful Isla/Senglea. A home away from home, you feel like a real local in the heart of quiet, peaceful suburbia. A short walk from the marina with bars, restaurants and the ferry to Valetta, a few shops and Isla's main bus stop. Fantastic views from the 2-level roof terrace which gets sun all day and has its own kitchen, shower and toilet. Modern bathroom, very spacious rooms. The breakfast basket was a nice touch to get you going. Jane was extremely friendly and helpful before, during and after our stay. She came to visit us personally to hear our feedback and discuss what we liked and what we perhaps thought could be better, taking a real interest in our opinions and in the experience of her guests. There wasn't anything we didn't like, and would definitely consider staying here again.
Cons: Generally, the house was clean to a basic standard, as you would keep your own home from day to day, but some of the deeper clean areas would benefit from more regular attention. Jane said she's thinking about some home improvements next year. We encouraged this as some simple changes could really elevate the experience. For example, really playing into the history of the house and styling the interior decor of each room to complement the medieval dining room (there are a lot of different styles of furniture, ornaments and paintings). The single beds in the twin room were quite springy and would benefit from new mattresses. There is a good amount of information located on the walls where you'd need it. These could be presented in a more polished, permanent way eg. on printed little plaques. Overall, nothing bad, more personal preference than anything else." ~Christopher
