"Pros: Everything was PERFECT! Starting with the extremely helpful and genuinely caring owners, Michael and Eric, it only got better! The room was fabulous as was the entire hotel, with beautifully renovated and tastefully modernized room and spaces. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was ultra modern and functional. Breakfasts were generous, tasty, and included eggs (or omelets) made to order. The location was perfect too - away from the tourist crowds of Valetta but only a 10 minute "Disa"(sp?) boat ride away. Fantastic restaurants just around the corner and very walkable to charming Birgu. When we left fir tge airport, my wife left jewelry in the room. Eric found it and immediately drove to the airport to deliver it to us! This was the best lodging experience we've ever had as seasoned world travelers.

Eclectic Apartment With Incredible Harbour Views

"Pros: Apartment is in an amazing location. The balconies open up to harbour views and you can see Valletta and the upper Barrakka gardens
There are outstanding restaurants just a 2 min walk from the property and the apartment is furnished beautifully in authentic Maltese style
There were only 2 of us staying and we had practically our own suites as so much space. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need and the beds were so comfortable.
You can use Bolt to get around or take the ferry to Valletta from Cospicua a 5 min walk or the traghetti from Vittoriosa
The neighbourhood is stunning and away from built up Sliema and St Julian’s etc but you can travel to those places very easily
Cons: There are a lot of steps to the property and then 3 flights to the apartment which I thought was great for fitness but wouldn’t be suitable for less fit or elderly. Also there is no light on at night
The tv and fridge didn’t work but small details and didn’t affect us. One of the bathroom sinks was blocked but there were so many sinks in the apartment! The location and views are priceless"

"Pros: A charming house in beautiful Isla/Senglea. A home away from home, you feel like a real local in the heart of quiet, peaceful suburbia. A short walk from the marina with bars, restaurants and the ferry to Valetta, a few shops and Isla's main bus stop. Fantastic views from the 2-level roof terrace which gets sun all day and has its own kitchen, shower and toilet. Modern bathroom, very spacious rooms. The breakfast basket was a nice touch to get you going. Jane was extremely friendly and helpful before, during and after our stay. She came to visit us personally to hear our feedback and discuss what we liked and what we perhaps thought could be better, taking a real interest in our opinions and in the experience of her guests. There wasn't anything we didn't like, and would definitely consider staying here again.
Cons: Generally, the house was clean to a basic standard, as you would keep your own home from day to day, but some of the deeper clean areas would benefit from more regular attention. Jane said she's thinking about some home improvements next year. We encouraged this as some simple changes could really elevate the experience. For example, really playing into the history of the house and styling the interior decor of each room to complement the medieval dining room (there are a lot of different styles of furniture, ornaments and paintings). The single beds in the twin room were quite springy and would benefit from new mattresses. There is a good amount of information located on the walls where you'd need it. These could be presented in a more polished, permanent way eg. on printed little plaques. Overall, nothing bad, more personal preference than anything else."
