"Pros: Great south facing location , close to bars restaurants and nightlife . Great communication from host . Cons: The apartment was very nice , two large bedrooms , though just one bathroom. Second floor with stairs or a lift . Need to take adapters for using the small appliances like kettle, toaster and coffee machine as there are Uk sockets but appliances have two pin plugs ! Supplied adapters didn’t work . Some little jobs to make it a top apartment. Be aware , there is active building site facing the bedrooms and they start early with drilling etc. So, expect early wake up. Not a problem for us once up as we were out all day ." ~Ivan

"Pros: It is simply not possible rate this apartment at less than 10/10 (despite some shortcomings): 1) the view is nice, 2) fantastic location, 3) quiet (no traffic underneath) and sunny balcony 4) really pleasant interior design, 5) reasonably fast internet wifi with big TV Cons: 1. In the " fully equipped” kitchen there is no coffee machine, no dishwasher and no place to dry off the dishes after wash. 2. During the advised earlier check-in hour the host should be prepared to answer his phone to help with the potential check-in problems. 3. The door code should have a clearer instruction: it is a screen which needs a tap to activate from its pitch-black stand-by mode + the tap cannot be on the only button available for it is only a fingerprint recognition device. 4. A wall covered with plywood spoils the decor of the apartment." ~Maciej

"Pros: We really enjoyed our weekend at Splendid Seaside Retreat . Fantastic views over the bay and would definitely want to stay there again. Everything we needed was at the apartment. Perfectly positioned. Cant believe we were so close to the busy centre of StJulians but yet couldn’t hear anything from the centre and also had no problems with parking over the 3 nights found a parking space every time!! Would highly recommend. Lovely place to stay. Would definitely go back. Luceen" ~Luceen

"Pros: We absolutely loved the location....it was beautiful. Close to the action, restaurants and shops. Close to the bay with beautiful views Cons: No power points in the bathrooms, the decking was a bit dangerous, too many switches we didn't know what they were for. The email for check in came the day we arrived and we were unaware we had to pay a security bond before they would give us the keys...it took a whole day !! Also money was deducted which we still don't know what it was for. A bit disappointing considering it was such a great location" ~Antonietta

"Pros: The apartment was close to shops, bars restaurants & cafes. It was big inside and had a fully equipped kitchen. Towels, tea towels, bedding & toilet rolls where provided Cons: Unfortunately we were on the lowest floor with the smallest balcony. On a weekend evening it got quite loud outside, mainly due to restaurant staff taking their breaks underneath the bedroom window. Around the base of the shower screen and the plug hole was quite a build up of mould" ~Colleen
