"Pros: Dar Barbara is a charming Maltese house located in the heart of Cospicua. We really loved the design and the overall vibe—it’s cozy and full of character. The location is great, just a short walk from the water taxi, shops, and restaurants.
Felix is an amazing host—very helpful and always there if you need anything.
The house doesn’t get a lot of natural light, especially on the ground floor, but that’s to be expected given its location in the middle of narrow streets.
Overall, we definitely recommend staying here!

"Pros: The apartment is located in a wonderful, cozy old-town neighborhood, nestled in a narrow alley in a stylish, historic building. It is very beautiful, fully equipped, and the double bed in the bedroom is extremely comfortable. The area is quiet, Valletta is easily accessible from the apartment, and the neighborhood itself is great for walks. A perfect accommodation for summer.
Cons: Unfortunately, we stayed in winter, at the end of December, and since there is no heating system, we arrived in the evening to a completely cold, chilly apartment. There were air conditioners in the two rooms, but even after hours of use, they couldn’t heat up the large, high-ceilinged rooms, making the first night extremely cold—we barely slept. The host originally requested that we only use one air conditioner at a time and turn them off during the day. However, since we weren’t there during the day, the apartment cooled down completely by evening again. I asked the host to bring a thermometer to objectively see the temperature and also requested a gas heater, both of which he promised but never delivered.
Fortunately, we managed to agree to use both air conditioners and to keep them running during the day as well. This made it more comfortable in bed at night, but the apartment remained generally cool throughout our stay. The pull-out sofa is not comfortable at all, and the provided sheet didn’t cover the mattress (despite asking for a replacement). For winter, I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially for those who feel the cold easily or for families with children." ~Szilvia
