"Pros: This is such a lovely resort. We do travel a lot, so recommend from experience of similar holidays in the past. We had the fully inclusive package in a dolphin villa superbly cared for by our housekeeper Shristy who went above and beyond in making our room a special place and ambassador Naz who dealt expertly with all our bookings. Sun Siyam does a great job of seaplane transfers, you are looked after from the outset. The food is great. I had dietary issues and the Executive Chef could not have been more helpful, same with the Executive Housekeeper. Basically, if you let the staff know about anything, they are incredibly responsive. Do make bookings in advance at Grouper and Roma restaurants, they are both lovely settings - probably Roma our favourite perched out over the water - and we enjoyed the variety. Saying this, the Aqua buffet has something for everyone and the Teppanyaki (extra cost) was great fun especially if you have children with you. We were just there to relax and snorkel - perfect. The house reef is teeming with gorgeous marine life, a great variety of tropical fish, small black tipped reef sharks, giant clams, octopus, etc. Whilst the coral has been bleached due to past climate issues it is recovering. We had turtles cruise under our room. Usually I suffer badly from mosquito bites in tropical climes - delighted to say in the week we had in Iru Veli there were no bug issues whatsoever, the over-water room probably helped. Good quality snorkelling equipment was provided (we didn't dive this time). The main bar has a good barista coffee machine. The all-inclusive deal was great, plenty of drinking water and supplies in the room and decent selections of wine (just ask for a new bottle if you enjoy red wine), cocktails etc. Cons: There is nothing not to like here." ~Sheryl
