"Pros: Quiet little courtyard in the middle of the oldtown. Door has code, no keys needed. Shops, cafes etc nearby. Lovely park (big enough) very close to the accommodation to walk dogs. Pet fee 10€/pet/24h. Toilet and bath/shower on both floors." ~Kristi
"Pros: Wonderful, Bright Apartment with Stunning Views and a Luxurious Feel
We had a fantastic stay at this apartment! It was incredibly bright and spacious, with a very clean and functional layout. Everything needed for cooking and dining was provided — all the cutlery, cookware, and dishes were available, which made meal prep very easy.
The views were absolutely beautiful. From the kitchen, we could see the scenic Ukmergė mound, and from the living room, we had a direct view of the Ukmergė Regional Museum and the city fountain (Ukmergės miesto fontanas). It truly felt like the apartment was located at the perfect crossroad of charming city sights.
The apartment also had a really pleasant aura. Being located on the rooftop, it did warm up during the day, but thankfully, the air conditioning worked perfectly and kept the space cool and comfortable at night.
The bedroom was designed beautifully, with lovely decorative touches — we especially appreciated the flowers on the windowsills and the candies left in the living room. In the bathroom, there were extra towels and even slippers prepared for our comfort, which added a thoughtful and luxurious touch.
The living room featured a large, incredibly comfortable sofa that could easily sleep 3–4 people if needed. Overall, the apartment gave off a high-end, welcoming vibe that made our stay truly enjoyable.
Highly recommended!
Cons: Recommendations for Improvement
While our overall stay was truly enjoyable, there are a few aspects that could be improved to elevate the experience to perfection:
The bed, although visually stunning and spacious, had a worn-out mattress. It felt too soft, and we could noticeably feel the springs and each other’s movements throughout the night. A newer or higher-quality mattress would make a big difference in comfort.
Power outlet placement near the bed was inconvenient — we had to use an extension cord to charge our phones, and only one of the bedside lamps was usable, as the other wasn’t plugged in.
Window curtains, though beautiful, didn’t block much sunlight. In the early morning, the rooms became very bright, so blackout curtains or better coverage would be a valuable upgrade.
The bathroom lacked proper ventilation. After showers, it quickly filled with steam, and we also noticed an unpleasant smell coming up after flushing the toilet. Installing a fan or improving ventilation could help significantly.
The TV, while wall-mounted, felt unstable — the top bracket's dowels were coming loose, which made it seem unsafe to move or adjust. A secure remounting would improve safety and ease of use.
The staircase leading to the upper apartment was quite steep and had no handrails, which could be tricky or even unsafe, especially when carrying luggage or for older guests.
Parking availability was also limited. When we arrived late in the evening, there was no available space nearby, which made check-in a bit stressful. Clearer parking instructions or a dedicated spot would be helpful for future guests.
These suggestions are shared in a kind spirit, as everything else — from the atmosphere to the views — was truly lovely. With just a few tweaks, this place would be absolutely perfect." ~Signe
