"Pros: The place was more spacious than it appeared in the photos and had an absolutely fantastic view of the lagoon. We stayed here in mid-November, a time when Lithuania is particularly dark, damp, and cold. Despite that, the apartment was cozy and warm, with the option to use a radiator for extra heating. Since the tourist season was long over, there were very few people in the town and just a handful of occupants in our apartment building.
The restaurant whose terrace faces the apartment windows was also closed until the summer season, which came with both pros and cons. On the downside, we couldn’t order their amazing cottage cheese donuts for breakfast 😉, but on the upside, the peace and quiet were unmatched.
However, for those planning to visit during the high season, it’s worth noting that your windows will overlook a terrace belonging to a very good and very popular restaurant. Something to keep in mind!
Cons: What we didn’t like as much: the bathroom floor wasn’t heated, which is something you really miss during autumn and winter. There were no wine glasses at all, so we had to drink wine from regular glasses—not the most romantic experience. 😉 The mattresses were very firm, which might not suit everyone’s preference.
Lighting near the bed was also lacking—there were lamps, but no sockets nearby to plug them in. One more thing to note (not an issue for us but worth mentioning): there are quite a few stairs to climb to reach the apartment, which could be challenging for older guests or families with small children.
That being said, these are all minor inconveniences that in no way spoiled our overall great experience!" ~Kristina
