"Pros: Top-notch place. Alps-like standards in Karakol: amazing view, 0 light pollution (the sky in a clear night is something special), everything brand new and top quality, excellent design and amenities, sorrounded by a beautiful forest, great host
Cons: I liked everything, as this is what I wanted (see what I like), one of the highlights of our trip.
However, I will mention two elements that were irrelevant for me, but may be relevant for other guests:
- This is not a hotel, so don't expect hotel service (restaurant, bar, pool, etc).
- It is 20 mins away from Karakol by car, high in the mountains in an unpaved road inside a national park. Nothing around in summer (shops, restaurants, etc), taxis won't make it there. You either need a SUV or pay the host to give you SUV rides anytime you need to get out. The host gives a good rate for the rides, is always available, and is extremely friendly, so you will not be stuck."
