"Pros: I wasn't quite sure what to expect, as the place seemed almost too affordable considering how nice it looked in the photos and compared to similar options, but it absolutely lived up to my hopes. We had a spacious bungalow with everything we needed. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful, and the place was cleaned daily. We had arranged in advance for Chef Anderson to cook for us, and I can truly recommend him!! Not only did he prepare great meals, but he also helped with other shopping and errands. Overall, we had five days that felt like pure luxury - the surroundings were beautiful and there was always someone ready to assist us. The place is located a bit outside Malindi town, but it only takes 10 minutes by tuk-tuk. The beach and marine park is only a 5-minute walk away. The area felt very safe, with guards at the gate. We stayed in house no. 6, which I think had more privacy than some of the other bungalows. Cons: There were quite a lot of ants inside the bungalow, and in the bedrooms they were in the ceiling, where they seemed to be eating the wood, which caused "black dust" and small pieces to fall onto the beds. When I mentioned it to our housekeeper, he immediately offered to spray the ceiling, which we agreed to, and after that we had no further issues. You are not allowed to use the pool after 5 pm (though one day, we were told we could use it until 6), which I think is a bit early and a shame.
