"Pros: The location is good. The kitchen appliances, like stove, kettle, microwave, washer, are fairly new. Cons: The flat is need for renovation. The apartment does not match the photographs!! Good enough only for one night. We were staying for a week. I was ashamed before my parents that they had to live in such an apartment… 1. The furniture is old and has broken handles. Walls are torn. 2. The sewage system in the apartment does not work well, for example, blockages occur in both the kitchen and the bathroom. You have to stop the water and wait until it flows into the pipe. 3. Also, the toilet barrel fills with water for 10 minutes, making noise throughout the entire apartment. 4. The bathtub needs a thorough cleaning and removal of the mildew!!! 5. The mirror light doesn't work in the bathroom, and it is very dark. My father couldn't even shave properly because of that. 6. The apartment does not have enough utensils for a comfortable stay, such as knives, salad bowls, and there is not even a kitchen towel." ~Ella

"Pros: This Apartment is just superb. It has two bedrooms (sleeps 4) and a sofabed in the living room. There are one-and-a-half toilets, washing machine, electric cooking range, crockery/cutlery and cooking utensils. Air-conditioning works fine. One prominent feature is the very large dining table!! But do note that the Apartment is on the second floor (UK way of counting) or third floor (US way of counting)....with no elevator. However, the stairs are not too taxing. Although it is not indicated in Booking.com, the Apartment had a reasonably good wifi. The location of the Apartment is superb. A functional grocery store is right across the road, as is a cafe called COFFEE OWL. Down the slope at about 200m is a food superstore called SMALL and another 300m is a large mall called DOSTYK PLAZA. Thus, the location is very nice indeed. All in all, a very nice Apartment in Almaty. Cons: Nothing. Everything is just perfect." ~Rakesh
