"Pros: The hostel has a good budget price point, considering that Almaty can be relatively expensive as compared with other countries in Central Asia. The location was good - about 15 to 20 minutes walk from most tourist destinations. It has good connectivity to the CityBus network. It is close to many supermarkets and restaurants. It has a good kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. The staff are very kind, hardworking and are always ready to help. Cons: There is no air-conditioning. The bunk beds do not have any reading / night lamps." ~Keith

"Pros: Great location! - In the heart of Almaty! Many main attractions/points of interest in under 20-30 min walking distance. Cozy and cheerful apartment that has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Check-in was very pleasant and included the walkthrough, detailed advise on best things to see/do, and answering all questions we had. The owner was very accommodating in meeting special requests - late check-out, extra linens, etc. Cons: The outside traffic noise was always there, even at night, which I guess is expected when you stay in the center on the big city. We had to sleep with the windows shot to somewhat tune it down." ~Anna
