"Pros: The owner of Takeya was extremely helpful and friendly during our stay, driving us to and from the JR station. The breakfast was different on both days and was sincerely prepared in a home-styled manner (grilled salmon for the second day which I forgot to take a picture of as I was in a rush). For dinner, we were given wagyu shabu shabu on the 1st day, and Korean styled BBQ on the 2nd day which were both of high quality meat. Has a convenience store within a few minute walk. Provided Netflix access on room televisions. Cons: The indoor bath was a bit too big and took roughly 30 minutes to fill up. The only way to access the upper floor was via stairs which might be a concern for families travelling with elderly. There didn't seem to be any staff during the early morning when we tried to store our luggage prior to check in, so we just left our luggage in the common area. Do prepare that there might be some small insects although the owner has kindly installed mosquito nets in the rooms to prevent them from entering." ~K

"Pros: The staff are both helpful and friendly. They performance beyond expectation. The set breakfast are variety and good. The osen are good and enjoyable. The mascot Akari is a blessings. :) A very pleasant experience. Cons: Room a little dusty. Especially the table lamp. But, overall the room is nice and clean." ~Tan
