"Pros: The property was very easy to find, thanks to pictures the host sent to us.The house had everything you need for a comfortable stay - heater/air conditioner in all rooms, futon if you have extra guests, the kitchen was well supplied with stove, toaster, refrigerator/freezer, small oven, plates, dishes, chopsticks. The host reminded me that there was a bike in the storage room, but it was flat, so I used the tire pump to inflate it - rode it around Futtsu several times and saw many parts of Futtsu you might pass by car. Also, very close to shopping - an Odoya just down the street about 5 minutes by car, and an Owariya about 8 minutes away by car.Onuki rail station only about 15 minutes walsk away. Taking a Japanese bath for this Westerner was a unique experience, but I liked it so much my wife and I might remodel our bathroom back home so we can incorporate a Japanese bath. The neighbors are very nice too - one day we put the clothes out and one of my shirts blew into the neighbors' yard while we were out, and when we got back, they hung it on the front gate. Overall, if you are a Westerner or just someone who wants to experience what it's really like to live like a local Japanese person here, you can't find a better property than this in this area. We were so glad we chose this house over a hotel. Host was very reponsive and suggested several places to visit, including local strawberry farm and a large Kannon statue a few rail stations away.
