"Pros: Our stay couldn't have been better. The staff were amazing from the moment they messaged us to arrange pick-up before our arrival. They also speak some English. The traditional Japanese room was large, immaculate and even had a massage chair! Of course, as it is a ryokan, we got to wear yukata and sleep on comfy futon. I travelled with a relative who was new to Japanese baths and didn't want to bathe naked with strangers, but it wasn't a problem because there were several private baths: three small ones that where you can just walk in and lock the door behind you, and a big beautiful outdoor one that you can book for a small fee (very worth it). The multi-course dinner was delicious, beautiful to look at and an experience in itself. We also enjoyed having a glass of sake in the lounge, which has a beautiful view of the mountains and river and free soft drinks + coffee. This is a great place to experience hot springs and a traditional Japanese inn en route to Kanazawa." ~Alice
