"Pros: I booked multiple nights during a national holiday, so room rates doubled. The breakfast was tasty but on the 2nd morning the electricity went out around 3am! No power or water. They arranged a room at their other location and it was a newer building. After a week, the hotel manager telephoned to inform me that the hotel will credit/reimburse me for 1 night, and they did. He never mentioned this in advance, so I was glad I never became upset or angry when I had to abruptly pack up and leave my room without washing my face or eating breakfast. Everyone remained calm. Never heard yelling or complaining. While eating breakfast at the nearby McDonald's, I noticed the mom in a family of four had "bed head" hair (worse than mine) so it was a little comforting to know they were probably also affected by the hotel after losing power. It was some kind of structural issue and took 4 days or so to fix due to the national holiday, I believe. But the hotel dld the right thing."
