"Pros: I really loved both the exterior and interior of the hotel. Everything felt clean and fresh (as expected of a newly-renovated property). The rooms were quiet (properly sound-proofed) which I loved. Staff was helpful and polite. Food was okay, but I prefered to eat out on most days in search for more interesting options.
As someone who likes the local revue I of course had a very personal interest in staying at this hotel, but I think even someone who isn't a fan would love a stay at this hotel, especially if you are someone like me who doesn't enjoy staying in big cities. Takarazuka is a comparatively quiet city but still within pretty easy reach to all major cities and sightseeing locations (Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe). Both Hankyu and JR stations are within a 5-10 min walk from the hotel.
Cons: Rooms were maybe a tad on the small side, especially for someone staying for a longer time with lots of luggage. I also found it a bit hard to maintain a comfortable temperature in my room (the air would get a bit stuffy with the aircon on, but turning it off would make the temperature drop too low for my tastes). These were in no way huge problems though."

"Pros: Hotel Wakamizu was exactly what we needed in our Japan honeymoon! A 30 min train ride from Osaka this little town was the perfect get away. The hotel had all the amenities we could need and then some. The staff was more than kind and patient with us since we don’t speak a lot of Japanese and were very accommodating to us. We last minute asked if we could schedule a massage in the same day and they sent a masseuse to our hotel room that worked wonders on our achey body! We booked the deluxe suite that had the private onsen patio and it had the most fabulous view, softest robes and great toiletries that the hotel provided us. They really made our stay luxurious and relaxing. We cannot thank them enough for their hospitality and kindness, this stay will be remembered for ever."
