"Pros: We will be back! WOW. This was a shot in the dark booking since I couldn’t find a place near the beach that was tattoo friendly. We were blown away at the facility, amenities and overall beauty of the location. I booked 3 rooms. Everyone had their own private onsen bath. My husband and I upgraded to the sauna barrel room and we LOVED IT. The guys all did sauna in the morning. They even give you handmade authentic sauna hats. Breakfast was simple but filling. Half of the group did the Japanese style, half did American. My jumbo toast made me feel like I was in a Ghibli movie having breakfast. There is a vending machine in the breakfast area was a variety of snacks and drinks. Our van made it on the roads to the property. So a standard vehicle will have no issue. Beautiful creak flowing in the backyard of every room. Every room has an entrance, toilet & sink room, living room (doubles as bedroom bc you have tatami beds), vanity sink & rack, THEN sliding door to your shower & bath, THEN sliding door to your porch with seating. Our room had the barrel immediately to the left of the porch with ANOTHER outdoor tub. Price was excellent!! Cons: We loved everything!! HOWEVER, it should be noted you will need a vehicle to get here. Property is nestled in a neighborhood, outside the main Shimoda town. Not sure how public transport could possibly get you to it but we didn’t need to deal with it bc we rented an 8 passenger van." ~Tanya

"Pros: I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. The amenities provided were complete, including coffee, toiletries, towels, and bottled water. The room was also well-equipped with a fridge, microwave, and water heater, which added to the convenience. Parking was free too. Overall, it offered excellent value for the price. Cons: It was far from the city and there were no other establishments near by." ~Joyce
