"Pros: This is a self-contained holiday home attached to the owners' house. The owners were really nice -- friendly when we arrived and departed but left us alone in between. When we were in the room, we didn't hear them and didn't feel like we lacked privacy. The situation was ideal. The holiday home faces the garden and it's a very short walk down to a beautiful beach. We don't surf but for anyone who surfs (or wants to learn) this place would be even more perfect. The location is on the East side of Tanegashima Island, facing the Pacific Ocean. When we were there, we felt like we were far from the madding crowd, and yet it took only 15-20 minutes to drive into the town (Nishinoomote) and port. Perfect. Anyway, we can recommend it and will stay there again if we have the chance. Cons: No problems at all" ~Nigel
