"Pros: The Onsen was amazing, largest onsen I've ever seen. So many different types of water too. The staff were amazing. They went above and beyond to take care of us. We took the wrong train and got lost. The hotel came to find us at 9:30 at night and brought us to the hotel. It was about 40 minutes away and no taxi or bus anywhere. Also, since we missed dinner, they even prepared food for us. The day we were leaving they planned our departure route (so we wouldn't get lost again) and drove us to the correct bus stop too,. I can't thank them enough for taking care of us. We will definitely return.....especially now that we know how to get there.
Cons: The hotel was beautiful but there were no restaurants open for lunch and the gift shop was closed. The staff were kind enough to open the shop so we could at least buy some cup of noodles and snacks. The bus only runs every 2 hours to the nearest Lawson's. Transportation was definitely and issue for us. If possible rent a car."
