"Pros: The room is lovely, one of the biggest I’ve had with a separate loo and washer and dryer. Good fridge, aircon was good, it was set just right to be not too cold or too warm. Bed was pretty comfy and bed linen was nice. The owner was lovely and very friendly and there was complimentary soft drinks available. Altho it’s not near the port there is a bus stop Kanehide-mae just up the road and you can buy a 5 day pass for 2000yen. Cons: The smell from the downstairs area. It smelt “swampy” - maybe from the fish tank? I wouldn’t eat down there because of the smell, fortunately my room didn’t smell although it permeated everything. There appeared to be people living there, they offered long term rental. So this made it feel more like a boarding house than a hotel. My room was reasonably clean but I found 3 long dark hairs in the room so more attention is needed." ~Will
