"Pros: This guesthouse is in an excellent location. . . an easy walk to both the ferry terminal and the train and bus station. It's not far from the sand baths, but bikes are available if desired. We stay in the comfortable and cozy tatami room and used the kitchen facilities to cook dinner one night. We felt safe and happy and appreciated the cheerful and friendly host. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable, lending us towels for the sand onsen, and leaving a bag of treats for my daughter. I appreciated the ease and simplicity of this lodging, and it was a good value. The house is functional, safe, and well located. Cons: Nothing really. "Pros: Clean, large enough room for a solo traveler to not feel cramped. Good view of neighborhood from window and fresh air. Plenty of English-speaking travelers in the common areas to trade travel experiences with too. Reasonable balance to the walking distance between the train station, restaurants, and the sand baths. Cons: The futon mattress was the lowest density foam possible. It provided no support or cushioning, so the bed was close to sleeping directly on the tatami floor." ~Justin
