"Pros: Location Cons: Unnecessary compromises on safety. My wife sustained severe scalding as a result of the kettle being on top of the kitchen hob, which only had a short electrical lead, so couldn’t be moved. I sustained a head injury from the same hob. Had to hook up the lead of the microwave to a makeshift adapter and hold the adapter every time the microwave was in use" ~Gerard
