"Pros: Nice little B&B with a fantastic host and delicious breakfast in a great location! If you don't want to stay in the hustle-bustle expen$ive Venice lagoon area (or if you have an early morning flight out of VCE, as we did), consider staying here in Mestre. This clean, safe, and modern community is a 10-15-minute bus ride to old Venice (and a 15-minute taxi ride to the airport) -- convenient, yet much less expensive accommodations and more authentic and less expensive restaurants. The room is clean and spacious with complimentary bottles of water in the mini-fridge and a bowl of fresh fruit on the dresser. The bathroom is modern with a shower that has plenty of hot water and water pressure and doesn't leak! There's even a washing machine in the bathroom and a drying rack in case you need to do laundry. The neighborhood is quiet at night, though there's a bar across the little piazza and a vibrant pedestrian shopping district right around the corner with more bars and lots of restaurants. Host Dario is welcoming and accommodating. He loves Venice/Mestre and clearly enjoys hosting his guests." ~Carolyn
