"Pros: Pimpioxelli is located on a quiet street in an otherwise lively neighborhood. The hosts, Lilli and Gianni, were very warm and welcoming and accommodated our late arrival. They advised us where to eat and let us try Gianni's homemade limoncello, made with lemons from their daughter's garden. We stayed in the pink room, which is fairly basic but great value for money and the (firm) mattress was very comfortable. The bathroom didn't have a bathtub, but a shower. The place is decorated with antiques and personal knick knacks, the cosy courtyard is full of Lilli's beloved plants. The hosts live on the ground floor but mostly keep to themselves and give their guests plenty of privacy. Cons: Gianni and Lilli speak very little English, but that was easily fixed with my limited Italian and google translate. The breakfast is served at a fixed time, together with the other guests. It is classic italian: pastries, (delicious and all home made!) jams, and fresh fruit, no savoury options. The coffee was great and Gianni made us an extra pot when we ran out. The bathroom and toilet are in the same room, and shared with other rooms. This made for some uncomfortable situations with timing and smells. Overall it was lovely and I would recommend staying here, it's just good to know these things ahead of time, I think. I would stay here again." ~Alma
