"Pros: We were three young girls who spent a week in Rapallo this July and honestly couldn’t have imagined a better apartment! From start to finish, everything went perfectly smoothly. Franco, the host, is an exceptionally kind and thoughtful person who truly values his guests. We already felt his warm hospitality the moment we arrived. Since we were coming by car and didn’t know exactly when we would get there, Franco was incredibly patient and allowed us to park our car on the private parking spot even before check-in. He then kindly helped us carry our luggage up to the apartment and took the time to explain everything we needed to know about the flat. He even recommended some great local restaurants! One evening, when we couldn’t turn off the extractor fan, Franco came over to help—at half past midnight! He is truly the kind of host you can only wish for: helpful, generous, and unbelievably friendly. But it wasn’t just Franco who made our stay so memorable! It was also the apartment itself that was absolutely perfect and even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. It has been newly renovated, is super modern, and what struck us most was how immaculately clean it was. Every single corner was spotless, and we felt completely at home the second we stepped inside. Everything you could possibly need was provided: olive oil and vinegar in the kitchen, all kinds of glasses, a kettle, a coffee machine with capsules, a microwave, lunch boxes, ice cubes, lovely dishes, a very modern fridge, a TV in the living room, free wifi, a hairdryer, cleaning supplies, and so so much more. There was truly nothing missing. The apartment also has two air conditioners, so we never had to return to a hot and stuffy space. It was also always the perfect temperature for sleeping. Both the main bed and the sofa bed were extremely comfortable. The apartment is also very spacious, with plenty of room in every area to store all your personal belongings. Cons: nothing negative!!, just the space ran out above so I have to continue here: Since the appartment has been completely renovated, the bathroom is stunning too. The shower is very modern and offers multiple settings, and the lighting in the bathroom is perfect for doing your makeup, which, for us three young girls, was a big bonus! The apartment also has a lovely balcony accessible from the bedroom, which we often used to enjoy a nice glass of wine before heading out to dinner. What made this already perfect apartment even better was the private, gated, and covered parking space, which is located just a 2-minute walk from the apartment. This saved us a lot of money and time, especially during peak season, since we didn’t have to deal with expensive parking fees or spend time looking for a spot. It also made loading and unloading the car so much easier. Honestly, if you’re coming by car, this parking space is a must-have! Even if you’re not driving, the location of the apartment is ideal. The nearest bus stop is just a 1-minute walk away, and the center of Rapallo, including the harbor and beach, is only a 10-minute walk. We even took the bus to Portofino and were able to hop on just steps from the front door! A large supermarket and a gas station are also just 3 minutes away on foot. We felt very safe and comfortable in the neighborhood, even late at night. Rapallo itself is the perfect base if you want to explore the Ligurian coast. In just five days, we managed to visit nine different towns along the coast! Dear Franco, thank you for letting us spend such a wonderful week in your beautiful apartment and for being so incredibly helpful, even after midnight!
