Just 2 minutes from the apartment you can find nice, small not so crowded beach. 10 minutes walk on the other site and you are in the city center of Otranto. You can find there a cliff where many people jump to the water and sandy beach with or without umbrellas and beautiful old town. 7 minutes walk to the supermarket with great Italian local products!
The apartment is in the living part of the town so despite Otranto is really touristic place you don't actually feel it ;)
