"Pros: It is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet in the heart of Tuscany. Ideal for day trips around the area to places like Florence, San Gimignano, Arezzo, Siena or even Pisa. All your shopping needs can be catered for in the nearby town of Montevarchi, alternatively there is a lovely bodega right next to the accommodation. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated and has everything you need to feel at home. The hosts are very friendly, always willing to advise and solve any situation that may arise. An excellent breakfast, brought to your room every morning, will keep you going for a good part of the day.
Cons: Nothing serious. Some complications are due to the remoteness of the village of Moncioni, where the accommodation is located. There are no major shops, banks or other services and there are only two or three places to eat. However, all of this can be overcome with the right amount of planning and preparation. Less experienced drivers may feel uncomfortable on the access roads to the village as they can be quite steep and narrow. The apartment does not have air conditioning, only simple fans. But even during the summer heat it was manageable thanks to the window shutters."
