"Pros: I really brilliant apartment, with everything you needed and a few thoughtful other things too. Really comfortable beds and spacious rooms, private locked parking, which was amazing since it was about a minute from the centre of town. The best apartment we stayed in out of 5 on our trip. Cons: My criticisms are not about the apartment at all - more about Marsala as a place. It hasn't quite caught up with what foreign travellers/ tourists have come to expect. I didn't meet anyone even in restaurants and shops who really spoke any English at all (even the owner brought along someone to translate - which was helpful). The town centre was ok, but almost all the restaurants closed at about 8 and we struggled to find a place to eat. Although in a wonderful coastal location, none of this was cleaned up or presented well and most was derelict. It was kind of the Morecambe of Sicily. So best apartment by far, but the town was a real disappointment." ~Michael
