"Pros: Very spacious and well decorated apartment in the old town, all on one floor, no stairs.
Two ensuite rooms and the third room had bathroom just outside. All bathrooms have showers!
Host get permission for our car to drive into the ZTL and parked in their own carpark.
Cons: Wifi could be received only in part of the house, basically just the master bedroom and the living room. Luckily, mobile reception is good in all area.
Because the breakfast is served, the earliest you can start the day is probably 9am, unless you give up the breakfast.
The turn into the carpark is a bit tight if you have a large car. We have a Peugeot 3008 and just manage to do it with care.
As Google map cannot give guidance in the old town, we need to meet the host somewhere and then follow her car into the old town."

"Pros: We travel several weeks a year in Italy and often seek out the wonderful medieval hill towns. When visiting those, there is always a decision to be made. Do you stay farther out in a larger more modern facility (or agricultura - farm stay), or do you stay inside the wall, which is always in a centuries old and charming historic property so thus has size and amenity limitations? We do both quite often. But it is great to be able to just walk out the door and be in the heart of the medieval old town - morning and nights and all day long while being able to take breaks in the room. We took a taxi that had permission to enter the restricted area that dropped us right at the hotel door with our bags and we stayed 3 nights. We had the larger "comfort" room (or Superior, which is the same size) and there was plenty of room to open and store on the floor two suitcases - very clean and comfortable. The staff was great at helping us with advice for traveling in the area. Nice breakfast. Great coffee. This is by far the best hotel inside the walls of fantastic Gubbio. It is right next to the Grand Plaza - the best location in town.
