"Pros: We stayed for a week in February as a couple with two school-aged children and had a wonderful experience. The apartment was very comfortable and perfectly situated for our needs. The location in Grosseto couldn't be better for people such as us, who do not have a car: within the city walls, with excellent access to public transportation. We arrived by direct train from Rome, departed on a direct train to Florence, and even made a day trip by express bus to Siena without any hassle. We used the apartment as a base for outdoor activities, including birdwatching in the coastal marshes and bike riding in the Maremma park (we rented bikes for the day in Albarese). The short walk to a supermarket and a fully-equipped kitchen made it very easy to shop and prepare our own meals when we wanted. There are plenty of good restaurants and cafes nearby. Though the apartment overlooks a lively square, the windows are extremely well soundproofed. Even on Saturday night, the busiest night of the week, the music and chatter outside was reduced to a low murmur indoors, and we fell asleep with ease. Our host Barbara was exceptionally hospitable, providing many helpful recommendations and promptly addressing any small issues we encountered. Highly recommend!" ~Timur
