"Cons: The property is not close to Pegli beach as advertised. The taxi had trouble finding it. The woman who met us with the keys was curt and left without explaining things. The apartment is dark and antiquated. There was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. We left after one night (the time of our arrival meant we couldn’t find any immediate alternative or we would not have stayed at all). Despite a hefty charge for cleaning we were told that we would have to pay €12 per person for sheets and towels. We did not pay this. Getting to and from the apartment without your own transport is extremely challenging. On complaining to the company who own/run this we were informed that ‘everything was as advertised’ and they have refused even a partial refund. Very unhappy." ~Olgamaria

"Pros: Great place. It's a proper apartment. Big, with everything that a house that was lived in has. It is an old-fashioned building, with narrow stairs and thick walls that always keep it cool in the summer. Loved the quirky style of the bedroom too. Not 5 minutes from Genova Pegli train station, it is surrounded by restaurants/pizzerias, not to mention that it is 5 minutes from the beautiful sea with the added view of the airport. The host lady is kind and chill, communication was easy and pleasant. Cons: No Internet. It was advertised as such on booking (though we missed it), but the point is that it is difficult to reach a signal with the phone too. You have to put it on the window sill if you want to connect from the bedroom. Also careful that Genova Pegli is not Genova: it's a 25 mins distance by train. However, once you are in Pegli, you won't wanna leave it :)" ~Megann8

"Pros: Impeccably clean, very well equipped (especially the kitchen), and with recommendations for local restaurants, things to do etc. Attentive staff. One of the best places I've stayed in!! Beach view, and only a minute from the train station. Cons: The sofa/bed was indeed a little small for two people and squeaky." ~Nadya
