"Pros: TRULLI CONTI is a very lovely house close to Cisterningo (approx. 5 minutes by car), next to a former quarry and a farm. The garden is huge and thus ideal for a family with active children who will enjoy playing with the swing and will be interested in the activities on the farm next door. The house is very well equipped: you will find all the dishes and utensils you will need for cooking, there is plenty of storage space, and the bathrooms are very nice, too. The house is very suitable for a larger family or a group (three bedrooms for two, and one with a single bed). The hosts are exceptionally friendly and greeted us with local produce, wine, limoncello, and other delights. They were always responsive if we needed anything. We visited the place in mid-October, so we were more interested in walks and city visits. However, I could imagine this place to be suitable for a summer vacation as well: it is a bit cooler in the Valle d'Itria then on the coast, but you are still quite close to nice beach locations. Cons: We stayed in TRULLI CONTI in mid-October, and it was rather cold for the season. It is hard to heat the Trulli - you only have electric space heaters and a fireplace. The building is not well isolated and cannot retain any warmth - this is probably a plus in the hot summer months, but it makes for a less comfortable stay in colder months. I'd thus recommend this place more for warmer weather. If you want to stay there during the colder months, make sure to pack warm houseshoes and be ready to layer up." ~Claudia
