"Pros: The house is in a stunning location with lake views from the garden and the snow capped mountains in the backdrop. The outdoor seating area was wonderful for sitting outside including on an evening to have dinner and drinks. The house had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay. The hosts, Claudia and Lorenzo, are fabulous and were available throughout our stay to provide really helpful assistance and made us feel very welcome - Claudia even made restaurant reservations for us which was very kind. The town of Colico is just a 2 minute drive away which is a lovely peaceful base away from all the tourists yet also within easy driving distance to the more popular towns of Bellano and Varenna. There is a lovely pizzaria just a short stroll from the house and a lovely little promenade at Colico with some more restaurants and ice cream parlours. There is also a bike hire shop in Colico where we rented bikes and cycled north on a lovely scenic route." ~Samantha
