"Pros: The apartment is very comfortable - a well-equipped kitchen, a dining table, a comfortable bed, a fold-out sofa in the living room, a capsule coffee machine, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, beach accessories, air conditioning... Very clean and modern. The nearest beach is literally across the street, and the next one is just a few minutes away. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around. And the pool, which in the photos seems far away, is actually a few steps from the apartment :) Good bus connections, with a stop just around the corner. Good communication with the owner - in case of any problems responded very quickly. Cons: There were some issues with the electricity - we had to be very careful not to overload the system, as the circuit breakers would trip (and resetting them required going to the other side of the building). So the only thing to watch out for is using the electric kettle at the same time as the electric stove or washing machine ;))" ~Smingus

"Pros: Lovely apartment, well maintained, plenty of cooking equipment. Brilliant location, 20 mins walk from the town centre; 5 mins walk to main beach directly across the road; a 15 mins walk to a nicer beach further up the road (past the hospital). 5 mins walk to an excellent supermarket. The swimming pool was excellent, though see my comments below about opening times. Great to have a car-parking space (though in hindsight, we probably didn't need a car at all while in Alghero). Check-in and check-out was very easy and straightforward, we were met by the lovely Luciano who was very welcoming, and very quick to respond when we had an issue with the electricity (power to all apartments went out). Cons: One of the two bedrooms has two sets of bunk beds in it, meaning 4 people can sleep in there. However its a very small room and it doesn't have air-conditioning - this needs to change. Our 2 kids weren't able to sleep in there as it was far too warm, and instead slept in main kitchen/living area under the air-con, which meant moving furniture and bedding each night & morning, while their bedroom lay empty. We only stayed 4 nights, so wasn't too much of a nuisance, but not really suitable for a longer stay. And certainly couldn't expect 4 people to sleep in there! The swimming pool hours were also very restrictive (open 10.30am-12.30 and again from 2pm-4pm) which is a bit ridiculous. Appreciate that owner mightn't be able to change that, obviously applies to the whole complex, but a real shame as it's an excellent pool." ~Paul
