"Pros: Very nice hotel, with mostly lovely reception staff.
Cons: There were issues with the overflow, apparently overflowing from the roof. The issue had started the evening we arrived. It transpired the flow followed by considerable dripping was intermittent. The noise was better with the window closed but it was a very hot May and there was no air-conditioning. Usually having no aircon in May is not an issue in Sligo but given the problem with the overflow we were required to keep the window closed, to reduce the noise; but still the flow could be heard. As the overflow down pour followed by dripping was intermittent. my family were repeatedly woken through out the night . I had first addressed the issue at 9.20pm, the person I was pssed onto was less than appologetic and implied that it wasn't a real issue even though she could clearly hear the disturbing noise of the overflow by listening to it over the phone. I was told that someone had looked on the roof and there was nothing that could be done. I was told that the noise would stop but was not told it would continue intermittently throughout the night. It was overall a very disappointing sleep deprived visit."

"Pros: Best place to stay in Sligo. Iconic architecture. Great staff, food and drink in the middle of the city.
Cons: One way system made it tricky to find the car park entrance but that is a minor issue overall."
