"Pros: Cozy accommodations, good food, fine people, welcoming atmosphere. I found Annie May's because of a planned trip to Cape Clear Island. I based out of Skibbereen for convenience. What I found was and lively town with exceptional people and a great arts and music scene. My only regret is that I didn't plan a longer stay. Traveling from Cork by public transport was easy and friendly (locals guided me in - and checked on me after arrival). As a solo traveler, those kinds of courtesies are priceless. The owner was attentive and committed to ensuring that I had a good stay. Breakfast was the best of what travelers are hoping for with great service and divine food. This is the Ireland you are looking for." ~Dawn
"Pros: Everything. Anne and Shamus were so lovely and welcoming. Anne gave us information on where to eat and places to visit, it was a shame we only stayed 1 night but we were on a road trip so we was visiting many places. The accommodation was perfect and well equipped and comfortable. There was even a separate lounge area for their guests to relax in. Breakfast was ample. My husband had cooked breakfast and I had cereals and toast. Anne even made her own oat bread which was so tasty . All in all it was a lovely stay. The view from their property was awesome even though it was just up from the town centre. Many thanks to Anne and Shamus who we are so glad to have met.
Cons: For me and my husband, all we can say is there was nothing that we did not like." ~Diana
"Pros: The property is in an excellent location both within the town and West Cork. It is well equipped and comfortable. The welcome pack was a nice touch." ~Michael
