"Pros: The location in St Finian’s Bay is amazing, with the beach and a lovely restaurant a very short walk away and amazing views of the spectacular landscape. We could even see the Skelligs from our room on the first floor. St Finian’s Bay might be a good distance from Killarney and its national park, but is is very near the Kerry Cliffs, Valentia Island, and many spectacular hiking opportunities. The house is very roomy and comfortable. We especially liked the large, well-supplied kitchen and the huge living room, with its conservatory, wood stove and comfortable leather sofas. The bedrooms and bathrooms were great, too. We were in touch with Michael, the host, with a few questions about the house and activities in the area, and always received a prompt and helpful response. "Pros: The location, the house, gardens, views and best of all the peacefulness! The cottage was well resourced and well presented in an amazing location for a quiet get away. Loved browsing through the books and having a morning cuppa on the swing seat. It was near to a stunning beach and within easy reach of the Ring of Kerry. The owner was very helpful and responded promptly when we needed a bit of help with working the hot water. The visit from the resident hare in the garden on the first morning was a real treat. Cons: The only thing that was tricky was trying to cook on the range. We were happy to improvise but it could have been a real challenge trying to cook for a family." ~Ann
