"Pros: - the hosts are helpful, gracious and accommodating to the extent I’ve observed, and make an effort to stay out of your hair- at times one might have the feeling of having the place to oneself - the location is a semi-detached in a working class suburb, away from the hustle and bustle and feels safe during the day - Amenities like a supermarket are available at a 10-15 min walk Cons: - The heating was spotty and seemed to break down in the middle of the night. I specifically had to request for it to be switched on, waking up with cold air pressing against my nose- it being 5 degrees outside! - The bathroom is not heated and is possibly shared (this was not made evident)- I found remnants of shaving foam on the hand towel on the rack - Nor is the house well-insulated. There is a persistent feeling of a cold draft sweeping through the house- and between the damp Dublin weather and the lack of heating, I returned home with flu-like symptoms. That said, this is a fair-weather place that should be liveable in summer- Dublin being Dublin, do be mindful of your body’s needs for comfort and health at other times. - The location was as much a con as it is a pro. There are two bus services leading to the city centre, and at non-peak hours one can expect to devote 45-60 min to getting to Dublin proper- rendering this not the best location for tourists with packed itineraries. If one simply needs a place to crash for the night, this wouldn’t be a cause for concern." ~Abhinav
