"Pros: An incredible two weeks here. The biggest take away was the staff who made our stay what it was. A big shout out to Anton, Ida, Henokh, Teresa, Jeff, Jake, as well as all the chefs, wait staff, cleaners, gardeners and reception team. You are all so wonderful! The food and service was fantastic, and the rooms were spacious and clean and tidy. Thank you for making our stay easy, welcoming, and the relaxing holiday we needed Cons: My only suggestion would be to have a fridge and kettle in each room. That way guests can store milk and make tea/coffee early before hitting the surf. May also be good for anyone that has to store medication in a fridge." ~Jessica

"Pros: The beautiful beachfront location, sunset views, goats in the land beside, walking distance to cafes and a resort. The lovely open air beach style architecture of the Island home. The staff Jilly and Daniel were kind and helpful. Daniel offered to climb the tree for a coconut for my breakfast! Very sweet stay I didn’t want to leave! Cons: In the photos there is comfortable furniture, instead there is only a beanbag and hard chairs. This did not bother me, but updated photos would be good. I would also recommend the need for a mosquito net over the bed. That would make it more comfortable to leave the doors open at night for air. Mosquitoes are not bad at all, I just prefer a net! Very limited kitchen utensils and no cooking available. But none of this was a big issue for me, it is still good value and I would book again." ~Tracee

"Pros: Cocokabana Rote is an idyllic hidden gem just next to Nembrala, with easy access from the backdoor shortcut. The colorful cabanas create a dreamy, boho atmosphere full of creativity, making it the perfect place to relax and soak in the island vibes. The shared shower and toilet are well cleaned, and despite being a communal setup, everything feels tidy and well-maintained. I visited during the low season, so I had the whole place to myself, which made it even more peaceful. The location is perfect, right on the main street and close to everything you need. Martha has a great fare to rent motorbikes and she's super nice !! All team is easily reachable if you need something. For digital nomads or anyone needing to check in on work, the WiFi connection is surprisingly good, a rare find in such a remote spot! Also, the nights are comfortable, not too hot, so sleeping is easy. If you're looking for a great meal, I highly recommend Warung Om Nus just nearby. They also have boatmen available to take you out surfing, which is super convenient if you're chasing waves. Overall, Cocokabana Rote is a magical little escape, blending charm, comfort, and the best of island life. Definitely a place worth staying! ✨🌊🏝️ Merci ☺️" ~Sarah
