"Pros: This has been one of the best places we’ve stayed during our six months of traveling. The Toraja area is stunning and well worth spending at least four nights, as we did. Our room was lovely, with a great view and a perfect location in the village. There is a hot shower, and the food was delicious. The owners are warm and welcoming. We had a unique experience joining Taco on a tour to visit a ‘sick’ person and witnessed a local funeral ceremony, which gave us deep insight into the culture here. Cons: The roosters in the village start crowing quite early, around 3–4 AM, but of course, that’s just part of the local atmosphere and not the fault of the hosts." ~Jorrit
