"Pros: The staff at Edo made my stay. I was blown away by their kindness and generosity. They always greeted me with a warm smile that left me feeling very much at home. You can also organise everything you need directly with the someone at Edo: scooters, surf lessons, taxi drivers, all for a reasonable price. The restaurant is very reasonably priced as well, and my experience with the food was always great. The room was cosy and also had everything I needed: mini fridge, air conditioning and a humble private bathroom. Cons: Wi-fi was a bit patchy in the room but pretty good at the restaurant, which was 20m from my room. There is also a mosque nearby, which can be heard from the room at 5am, the first of five daily prayers. Speaking with other travelers who had stayed in different areas on Lombok, this appears to be pretty normal and is nothing that can’t be resolved with a pair of ear plugs (which I had on hand)" ~Amanda

"Pros: The Spear Beach House and Edo Restaurant were so very welcoming and helpful with our stay! In particular Sam, Ali and Jeffrey at reception and Eadie and the team at Edos Restaurant were amazing and super friendly. We felt like we were part of the Grupuk family and community! A memorable time and experience. And the location of Spear Beach House is spectacular with sweeping views of Grupuk Bay and Mount Rinjani and also direct access to the tour and surf boats.
