"Pros: Everything went so smoothly. Communication with Brijesh the owner prior to our arrival and by WhatsApp once we arrived was of great help. Our pre-order of alcohol, tonic, & juice was all in the fridge waiting for us when we arrived [ Bear in mind in Kerala you can only buy alcohol from government licensed "Grog Stores" ]. Debu the caretaker and chef was fantastic. He did his utmost to look after us and see to our every need. We were a party of 5 retired seasoned world travellers who were looking for the real Kerala and we found it here. The January weather was constant 32 degrees and we ate all our meals outside. Breakfast was included and was superb. As there are very few nearby restaurants we decided to have lunch & dinner cooked by Debu and the lady who lived nearby. We let them choose what we ate & all the meals were delicious , authentic & full of Kerala spices. We had chicken, squid, shrimps and some of the most flavoursome egg plant and vegetable dishes we have ever eaten. The 3 ensuite bedrooms were of generous proportions complete with air con and fans. All bedding and towels were changed every 2 days. While we were there Brijesh arranged and booked the three taxis for the 3 excursions that we went on. One was to Fort Cochin, One to see the Temple elephants and during our third week he booked everything for us to have 24 hrs, on a rice boat around the backwaters. It all went so smoothly. Finally what you have to remember about this location is that it is true Kerala with no night life, no beach hawkers just the sea to swim in on your doorstep. If you want a relaxing place to stay this is it. Another bonus is the Yoga school next door who arranged a minimal cost a one hour yoga sessions every day for 2 of our party." ~Peter

His positive attitude, friendly nature, and constant readiness to help made us feel right at home. Every little detail was taken care of with a smile. One small but delightful highlight — the drinking water provided was fresh, clean, and had a natural slight sweetness to it, which we all enjoyed!
