"Pros: We had a lovely first day on the cruise. The food served was great, the views were amazing and the captain and chef were lovely. Cons: Both the chef and captain would watch things on their phones at maximum volume which we found irritating on what should be a very peaceful trip. When it came to going to sleep we didn’t realise the chef would be sleeping on the floor in the lounge. We felt that we didn’t have much privacy as the walls were very thin. He then proceeded to snore so loudly that my boyfriend and I barely slept. The bed was also very hard and uncomfortable as well as the AC having a mind of its own. For the price I feel like small changes would make a massive difference." ~Ellie

"Pros: Kera houseboats are run professionally. The staff are polite, attentive, and considerate. Not all backwater houseboats have great reviews, but these guys are attentive to detail. They collect sterile water for cooking and cleaning instead of other boats that collected water from larger lake. They took us deep into the backwaters, where we were the only houseboat around. They arranged for us to take a small boat into tiny village tributaries. The food and drinks were delicious. No hidden fees. A beautifully relaxing few days watching the world float by. Cons: Don't get a hot shower on our boat, but it didn't concern us too much." ~Lynchy
