"Pros: The location of this place is fantastic, so tranquil and wonderful view over the island and the sea beyond. The host is exceptional, very helpful and kind. I wish we had stayed longer - much longer. You could really spend a week or more just totally unwinding here, taking your meals on the little terrace and enjoying the silence. We enjoyed the stay a lot and would recommend it to anyone!
Cons: I think there are a few tiny things that could make this place even better. Firstly, a few basic items could be provided, such as shower gel, salt, cooking oil, sugar - there is a kitchen but needing to buy those kinds of staples makes it a bit prohibitive to use. I think also the lights are all rather bright and it might be nice to have for example a smaller and softer lamp on the bedside table (just a personal suggestion - but as it is all painted white and the lights are very bright I found it a bit much at night). You might also like to provide some basic (i.e. non-white!) towels that people can take to the beach. I also thought there should be a sign above the toilet reminding people not to flush paper - as I live in Greece I know this, but other visitors might not and this could cause problems." ~Liam
"Pros: A really quirky location and home , terrific if you like something different at a reasonable nightly rate. The views are fabulous and worth the trek through the old paths from either the car park or the bus stop.
If you have mobility issues staying anywhere in Chora is not a good idea. Stairs, stairs and more stairs! Great for fitness though.
The location was easy to find following the video we received.
The house does have a set of internal stairs which are extremely steep , not for the faint hearted, less mobile of us or those with knee issues. There is an external entry, via easier stairs, to the upper floor, meaning the challenging internal stairs can be avoided. An added bonus is that there is a bathroom on both levels.
The home has a bench top oven with hot plates and a microwave, full size fridge and most of the utensils and crockery you could need.
It also has a nice front loading washing machine.
Hand soap is provided in both bathrooms.
Note there is no body wash, soap or shampoo provided.
The owner asks that you replace any of their special pottery if you break it, we suggest, like us, don’t touch anything that looks like local pottery!
Also as this is someone’s house there is personal clothing in the cupboard where the towels are stored. We found this a bit odd and confronting in a holiday rental property and have never come across unsecured personal items like this in a holiday let before." ~Tim
