"Pros: This hotel is in a great location, with fantastic views of the caldera & is at the top of the cliff so you don’t have to climb down many steps or back up again. Our room 19 was very small & minimalist but we had plenty of space outside to sit on the gorgeous terrace with its comfortable furniture. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had good power. Nek, the owner was away most of our 4 night stay but Elsa & Maria did a fantastic job of assisting with us with information on buses, taxis, directions etc. The hotel was immaculate and well looked after by the small team. Cons: The hotel was great for our purposes and our first two days and nights were quiet and peaceful, with a few other independent couples, as we had hoped. Unfortunately, for the remainder of our stay nearly all the rooms in the hotel were taken by a US tour group. The group were very loud, and in my view inconsiderate of the fact that there were other guests in the hotel who might want to enjoy the otherwise peaceful and beautiful surroundings. I believe they also invited others they knew who were staying elsewhere onto the Sunset Hotel terrace to enjoy the stunning views, which just increased the crowd at times." ~Jennifer
