"Pros: We loved everything about this place! Had a truly amazing vacation experience at the villa. It was exactly what we wished for: quiet countryside-like location yet very easy to reach restaurants, supermarkets, beaches and attractions. Beautiful surroundings, very clean and nicely maintained. The outdoor kitchen area with a nice pool was a hit with both adults and children.
There are two villas on the property with an entrance gate, sharing a pool and outdoor terrace with a kitchen and grill, a ping-pong table, and a small playground for children. There was a big balcony in our villa overlooking olive groves right out outside the living room, where we loved having meals if not eating by the pool. Fully stocked kitchen with full sets of plates and glassware (not some mismatched leftovers as seen in other places), a lot of kitchen appliances for those who prefer to make their own food.
Our host Manousos was very helpful and made us feel at home. We came late in the evening, so breakfast staples provided by the owner - fruit, bread, jam, milk, coffee and tea ready for us was very much appreciated, especially since we didn't have to deal with hungry children in the morning! He was very helpful with advices and any questions we had, and even asked for our opinion on what improvements can be made to make the property even better.
The nearest supermarket is about 2-3 min away, and there are plenty of them within less than 10 min drive in Adele, Platanas or Sfakaki. For a great bakery experience try Giampous bakery, though their baklava was a bit below our liking standards. Rethymno with lots of sightseeing, shopping and restaurants is only 15 min away, make sure to park at the port parking lot if you go there (only takes coins for payment, costs 3-5 euros for almost full day).
We would definitely go back, and highly recommend this charming property!"

"Pros: The pool and facilities were great, although the pool went green on our last day and we had problems on a few nights with no lighting, our host Elena came out twice to get them back on.
Cons: The lack of showers and no plug for the bath so it made it tricky with 8 of us needing showers with only two working. The Villa is situated up a hill which was off road and every taxi driver complained to us about going up there as they didn’t want to ruin their car or get it dirty, we had to be dropped off at the bottom on several occasions which was a good 10-15mins walk up on unsteady road in the heat with children. This was quite frustrating. It was 25-30 mins to shops, bars, restaurants, so we either braved the walk or ordered taxis and had to put up with them being unhappy about the off road, we also hired a car for a few days, be prepared to have to spent a small fortune if you want to get out of the Villa."
