"Pros: A little traditional-style house, hidden from sight (we missed it when driving by first) with lots of privacy, and the BEST porch one could hope for--that's where you spend most of the time, under the Bougainvillea flowers and by the big wooden table, looking at the enclosed yard with lots of flowers. Shade and peace and quiet, and sometimes refreshing wind, LOVELY. The inside is stone-built, decent kitchen with a big fridge, a small bedroom w two beds and a master bedroom with a nice view from the bed of the porch outside. Bathroom w shower a bit small but totally sufficient. A staircase to the roof leads you to see a nice panoramic view of the sea. There were some supplies available, which was useful! (the olive oil is under the sink, FYI) Location is very good, within walking distance to a wonderful beach (Alyki, by the salt lake) via a path from the main road. Very nearby a supermarket and some great restaurants (Manolis Farm and Faros) and a short drive to more marvelous beaches (Pyrgaki, Kastraki, Agiassos). So if you are not looking for a vast modern (expensive) villa but happy with a cosy place with lots of character, get Mitatos! Ideal for two, do-able with kids too, due to the porch and the yard offering more space. Cons: The shower could use a refreshing coat of paint. I suggest putting a small table on the roof, to be able to sit comfortably with a beer or wine to watch the gorgeous sunset over the sea..." ~Efrat
