"Pros: Crystal Home feels like staying in a favourite aunties house. There are handmade doilies, some dried flowers, a few knick knacks but not cluttered so room for our stuff. Homemade herb wine, biccies, tea, butter, jam and water in fridge.
Not flash not fancy but a homely loving vibe with all the basics needed for either a night or two near the airport/Rafina port to a budget holiday for a week or more with beach moments away.
Most Greek hosts are pretty fabulous (philoxenia) yet Marianna really excelled with kindness and support from booking through to departure ensuring everything we requested was provided such as local taxis, no overpowering fake fragrance and thorough cleanliness. She is what made this stay feel like we were staying in a loved ones home thus it was easy to relax. Easy walk to some very affordable & delish tavernas and cafes on the beach with a humble Saturday market and various shops was very convenient for our brief stay enroute from Australia to the Ionian. Bed was comfy, pillows were not huge mounds, room to lie down and watch the little tv in the living room and 2 balconies - on sunny one shady. Little kitchen well equipped and shower was not only hand held.
Cons: No problems for us personally. Depending on travellers flight times the nearby church bells may be an issue but did not bother us… we laughed at the first morning bells as (going on previous reviews) it seemed the bell ringer had slept in so we easily fell back to sleep giggling.
Given that the 1 bedroom apartment we had was quite spacious the bathroom toilet seemed squeezed in behind the door this could a bit tetris if you are very large human but we are fairly regular size so it was fine - just fully shut the door."

"Pros: It was perfectly located close to the airport and Athens only a short drive , 500 metres from a beach and shops and restaurants/bars close by , in short it had everything , it was modern , clean and well equipped, even had a washing machine , great coffee machine , if you have a car it was easy to park outside , all in all a great base to explore Athens and the surrounding areas

"Pros: Spacious, clean apartment. Well situated, close to the beach and the restaurants/shops. The host very helpful and kind.
Cons: Maybe too close to the church (you have to get used to the bells every hour from 7am to 9pm...). Get a mosquito repellent, too."
