"Pros: The location is excellent, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The building itself is beautiful, and the common areas are very well maintained. However, unfortunately, the room did not live up to the same standard. Cons: There were several significant maintenance issues that negatively impacted the overall impression of the property: 1. One of the bedside lamps was broken, with an entire part of the fixture missing — a functioning bulb, but an incomplete appliance. Giving a bad impression of not replacing it or maybe simply removing it until replaced. 2. Some electrical wall outlets were loose and hanging out, clearly worn from use and not properly secured to the wall. 3. The toilet seat was of extremely poor quality — the kind of flimsy model you’d find at the lowest price point — and it wobbled dramatically from side to side. It genuinely felt like it could break at any moment. Cleanliness was also below expectations. While the shared areas were clean, the condition of the room suggested corners had been cut. The shower didn’t feel properly cleaned, and the wall shelves had some broken plastic pieces — likely not cleaned after the last guests. Lastly, a personal note on the towels: I found their smell unpleasant, possibly due to the detergent used. It reminded me of chalk or ash, and it lingered in a way that made the towels uninviting to use. It’s a shame because with such a lovely building and a kind team, addressing these room issues could truly elevate the entire guest experience." ~Martha
